sore throat, deeper voice, lump in neck.

first three weeks we’re a breeze until we hit 4th week. she felt nauseous, blisters in her throat, mouth, and then when we hit the 5th week her skin broke open on the outside. from the bottom of her ears, to her chest. this is from june til july 9th 08

fatigue, nauseous, loss of hair, very very weak.

My worked in a nursing home that she worked for, for 7 years as a caregiver. they became like family to her, and I. ( i work there now) that they dedicated nursing home week to her and raised money for her. it was so unexpected but brought tears to our eyes.

To Mama:Views: 306

There is no hope up in your eyes,
as if the blue had left your skies,
The sadness fills you cheeks of stone,
Maybe you believe you are alone.

Your face is shone with quiet despair,
as if this was what you chose to wear,
Your sin you strap upon your chest,
as if there was no longer rest, longer rest.

Take hold, don’t give up.
You gotta make the best of what you got,
Give it all you best shot,
Take hold, don’t give up.

Your heart seems to have hit the floor,
but I do believe you’re meant to soar,
The enemy’s wounds, they must go deep,
but I pray the Lord your soul to keep.

There is no taking back those days a gone,
But now it’s your chance just to move on.
Make the best of the life you live,
‘Cause before Him you soon will give.
You soon will give

Nice, thank you for sharing

What a beautiful poem. Tell your Mom she is not alone. There are some of the most caring and wonderful people on this site you could ever hope for and we all understand the pain.
HANG IN THERE AND DON’T GIVE UP, MY FRIEND.
My thoughts and prayers are with you always.
Hugs,
Joyce

Your poem touched me deeply.
I bursted into tears and couldn’t stop.
It sounds like something my daughter would write for me.
Your mother is very lucky to have such a loving daughter.
With Love and Prayers

Dear Rachel; How poetry can make the heart break.
Is the writer a relative or a friend,
it does not matter in the end
As love goes deep and shows its pain
The memories of a Mom will always remain
You have shown your strength oh dear child
But your touch is needed warm and mild
Let these last wonderous moments of life prevail
As god sets her wings for a heavenly sail
You will know in the end you have done your best
For family and friends they will need a rest
Take joy in the love that may be passed along
It is yours to share to keep everyone strong
For it’s in life that we love
Before going above.

May you always cherish these moments with your Mom. I have over the years grown to learn more of my dearly departed Mom by her example. That is what she left me. Memories to live by.
All prayers to you and your family. Weezie
