life too short

be there, give advice and most importnantly PRAY for her~

sore throat, deeper voice, lump in neck.

- not there yet -

first three weeks we’re a breeze until we hit 4th week. she felt nauseous, blisters in her throat, mouth, and then when we hit the 5th week her skin broke open on the outside. from the bottom of her ears, to her chest. this is from june til july 9th 08

fatigue, nauseous, loss of hair, very very weak.

My worked in a nursing home that she worked for, for 7 years as a caregiver. they became like family to her, and I. ( i work there now) that they dedicated nursing home week to her and raised money for her. it was so unexpected but brought tears to our eyes.

hello helloViews: 306

well my moms still in the process of doing radaition. shes almost done! her last treatment will be not this thursday NEXT! and we can’t wait! The doctor said the tumor on her tonsil is almost gone! after we’re done their gonna give her 2months to heal then talk about removing the lymphs nodes in her neck. that’ll be a whole other road ahead of us. her skin just started peeling and blistering within the last week. i love her so much i cant even express how proud i am of her! shes doing so much better. shes still feeling sick and throwing up but that’s what comes along with radaiton and chemo! she still has her hair, i thought once it started coming out really bad that she would lose it quickly. well it seems like it hasnt feel out ina while. not saying that it cant but that process has slowed down. anywhooo this is a quick update. cant wait to here from you guys!

Blessings to you and your family. Both you and your mother are troopers.

Dear Rachel; You sound like such a wonderful daughter and I know how you feel as I helped in my own mother’s journey as well as my Dad’s and step mother’s. It can consume most of your time and gladly as you feel it is all worthwhile and you wouldn’t want anyone to be there but yourself. There are times when one feels helpless and frustrated, as we watch our loved ones go through all the side effects of Cancer treatments. Keep up your wonderful support for her. She is a lucky Mom.
